Interview with Jeanette Conner of Season 5, Episode 2 of Catfish

Catfish Fans wants to thank Jeanette (and her daughter Shuntay) for answering a few questions for us and telling us about her Catfish experiences. Good luck to both of you!

Jeanette 1. In general, how was your experience appearing on Catfish?

I had a wonderful experience appearing on the show. Production was wonderful even though I was hurt and disappointed. They kept checking on me making sure I was ok and to try to keep my spirits up and keep me smiling.

2. If you had it to do over, would you still appear on the show?

That's kinda hard because they didn't share the reason why. The show was my last result to see if the person was exactly who they said they were. I was working 7 days a week 18 hrs days so that was why I didn't push the issue of us meeting til I lost 1 job. And then I wanted to meet but I probably would do it again.

3. How has your life been impacted or changed by the show? (positively or negatively)

Well a lot of people have reached out to me saying that they are proud of me. Because I am a private person, it was hard to allow millions of people in my life so I've been judged a lot from people saying im crazy, naive but I also had a lot of positive which made me smile. But now I get hit on by guys and girls and I'm recognized a lot almost everywhere I go people wanting to take photos with me etc so it's kinda cool.

4. What's new in your life since the show or what are you doing now?

Well me and my daughter have been doing videos on Facebook (link) because people always saying I'm so funny. We have been getting a ton of views and I'm starting to do modeling again.

5. What tips or warnings do you have for others in online relationships?

When you start noticing a pattern of excuses then you need to put it out there and tell them it's not going to go any further until they prove who they really are.

6. Is there anything else you'd like to tell your Catfish fans?

For the positive people that have messaged me on Facebook or MTV site or my daughters page, thank you so much for your positive words and encouragement. At the end of the day we're all human and I love you guys. Thank you so much. Muah.
